Join us at our Chicago campus for our weekly gathering of Jummah prayer with the community.
Weekly Mawlid: Sundays, 5:30 PM PT
A weekly gathering that follows a compilation of nasheeds (chants) and prayers, titled “Remembering the Beloved.” Each gathering is followed by a short talk.

Word to the Wise: Tuesdays, 5:30 PM PT / 7:30 PM CT
Ibn Ata’illah al-Skandari’s Taj al-Arus, or The Bride-Groom’s Crown: Containing Instructions on Refining the Self, is a timeless manual of practical spirituality for Muslims of all backgrounds. It contains 345 aphorisms with which Ibn Ata’illah provides guidance on rectifying oneself by cultivating a deep sense of gratitude toward God. He gives advice on everything from the futility of relying on our own capabilities, rather than God’s, to practical matters such as eating and keeping good company.
This installment of our series, Word to the Wise, will provide an accessible, two-year exploration of the spiritual tradition of Islam that is grounded in the Book of God and the example of His Messenger ﷺ.

Come praise and remember the Prophet, peace be upon him, in the weekly recitation of the famous poem, “Qasidat al-Burdah”, “Poem of the Mantle”, with our community. Pre-registration is required for on-site attendance.

Advice for the Journey: Weighty Words, Mondays 5:00 PM PT / 7:00 PM CT
Join us each Monday in this virtual community learning space designed for seekers and newcomers to Islam! Over these 10-weeks we will explore the wisdom in these sacred sayings of God with Mike Swies, Director of Outreach & Community Engagement.
The 31st chapter of the Qur’an is named after a man named Luqman who God describes as an individual given hikmah or “wisdom.” In it there is a conversation where Luqman extolls sagely wisdom to his son. We will reflect on the themes in this Quranic message and derive practical ways to implement them in our journeys of faith as Seekers or Newcomers to Islam.
We will explore advice from those who walked this path before you on various topics ranging from dealing with our loved ones, learning the faith, interfacing with community, seeking mentorship and much more.
Muhammad Ali: Critical Thinking Workshop
In collaboration with Game Changer Mindsets, join us at Ta’leef Chicago on Saturday, May 11th at 1:00 PM CT for a leadership and critical thinking workshop with Maryum “May May” Ali, public speaker and daughter of Muhammad Ali, may god have mercy upon his soul, and Assad Koshul, performance, leadership and growth mindsets coach. This workshop is specifically based on the life, leadership, and activism of Muhammad Ali featuring lessons from Ali’s determination inside and outdoes the ring.

Hyde Park Eid Prayer & Celebration
Join us for Eid Prayer at South Side YMCA along with Sirat Chicago, U of C MSA & U of C Muslim Chaplaincy and Alif Schoolhouse. Eid Glorifications will begin at 9:30 AM CT followed by Eid Prayer & Sermon by Ahmed Rehab, Executive Director at Chicago Office of the Council on American-Islamic Relations.
After prayer, celebratory activities such as light food, bouncy houses, children's activities, face painting and more will follow the prayer/sermon until 12:00 PM. Be sure to bring your own prayer rugs. Please note, Eid will be announced TUESDAY NIGHT, depending on the sighting of the new moon.

In collaboration with Al-Maqasid, join us for a 3-Day Weekend Retreat from February 24th-26th in the Bay Area with Yahya Rhodus & Yusuf Weltch. Covering Book 6, on fasting, of Imam al-Ghazali’s Ihya’ ‘Ulum al-Din (Revival of the Religious Sciences).
In this book of Imam al-Ghazali’s Ihya', he informs us of the obligations of Fasting, the inner dimension and degrees of the fast, and the merit of fasting the recommended days outside of Ramadan.

A Drop In The Ocean: A Deeper Dive
Join us for this in-depth, 8-week class that will explore the deep and profound meaning of the 30th Juz of the Qur’an. This weekly class will provide spiritual and practical depth to the smaller chapters of the Qur’an, as well as a look into its sciences that explain the ocean of meaning through God’s speech!
