We are a community
rooted in love and service.

Come as you are, to Islam as it is

The Arabic word “ta’leef” means “to bring together”, and describes our mission to build community by creating safe spaces for dialogue, education and fellowship. We aim to provide the ideal experience of American Islam, that is both culturally relevant and integral to individual and collective growth.

Since its formation as a non-profit organization in 2009, Ta’leef has stayed true to its mission: to provide the space, content, and companionship necessary to enable a healthy understanding, practice, and realization of Islam. Ta’leef formed to address the unique challenge of meeting people where they are on their spiritual or life path, without judgement, and in an authentically welcoming manner. The Arabic word Ta’leef, meaning “to reconcile” or “to bring together”. We feel it is an apt name for a beloved organization where people come from near and far (youth, families, formerly incarcerated, Muslims, seekers of faith or truth or simple authentic human connection) to be “welcomed home”. Our mantra “Come as you are, to Islam as it is” says it all.

Ta’leef Collective is a registered 501c3 nonprofit organization. You can contribute to the Ta’leef cause here.
